CCM or Ceramic-metallic crown

The ceramic-metal crown is a widely used crown, it is a layer of metal to which is added a layer of ceramic. It is a very resistant crown thanks to its underlying metallic structure and aesthetic thanks to the ceramic layer that covers it.

Its disadvantages:

The E-max crown is a crown developed by the Ivolar Vivadent company and manufactured in lithium glass ceramic. It is preferred to zirconia crowns because it is more resistant, more durable, more aesthetic with a translucent color and which allows light to pass through. This is the crown that looks exactly like natural teeth. The only downside to E-MAX crowns is their cost. E-MAX crowns are the best crowns in modern dentistry.

Advantages of the E-max crown:

Suitable for both anterior and posterior teeth.

Disadvantages:

Their cost slightly higher than the Zirconia crown.
